September 06 - 08, 2019

  • Speakers & Worship Leader
    Carlos DeVitis

    Speaker

Twenty-Three years ago Carlos had an encounter with Jesus Christ while spending 12 months of his life asking God, “are you real?” He’s still not sure how he snuck into the Christian community, but they didn’t say no and he has never looked back. Carlos has been married to Emily for 3 years and often refers to her as his first wife or ex-girlfriend.  She still doesn’t find that joke funny, but he won’t let it go until she does. They have four kids and have spent the past 12 years serving at Peninsula Covenant Church in Redwood City. Prior to, he served as the youth pastor at Pilgrim Covenant Church in the ECC and Crossview Church in Mankato, MN. Raising 3 boys and 1 daughter has been his great adventure. He’s great at failing but that hasn’t messed everything up; turns out there is hope and he would love all parents to know…you have what it takes!

    Josh Lund

    Worship Leader

Josh Lund graduated from Fresno Pacific University with a B.A. in Christian Ministry with a minor in Music in 2016. He was a faithful staff member at Mission Springs and Frontier Ranch from 2013-2018. In those years he has been a counselor, a staff counselor, and an intern. For the past year, he has been an intern at Vintage Faith Church in Santa Cruz where he worked with high Schoolers, kids ministry, and helped lead the youth worship team. Josh loves to play guitar, write and record music, watch The Office, and play soccer. He hopes to pursue a career in Christian ministry whether that is within the Church or in Christian non-profit ministries.
  • Testimonials: What Dads say

“Thanks for another great weekend. Really enjoyed it. The speaker and music were a primary reason for my very favorable feedback, I plan to invite friends who may not be regular church attenders. Hopefully, this will be something that could spurn conversations.”

“I really like the speaker, it was deep enough for dads to get something out of it but still something the boys could get a hold of.”

“It was great to see so many more dads and sons there! Even though there were more people, everything went smoothly and nothing was over crowded. I can’t think of anything I would want to see changed for next year. It really was a wonderful weekend.”
