Housing and Dining
Utilizing the beautiful lodges of Mission Springs Conference Center gives your students a higher level of comfort.
All rooms are equipped with carpeting, heating, and hot water. Some rooms have bathrooms in them; other rooms are arranged around a central hallway with a shared bathroom.
Housing is assigned by Mission Springs to best serve the supervisory needs of each school. A typical housing situation has 3-4 students in a room with chaperones either in the same room or right next door. Teachers determine roommates.
Great dining is important to a successful science camp experience. Let our cooks indulge you with fresh, artfully-prepared meals served family style.
For those with special dietary restrictions, our desire is to care for their needs as well as we can, especially those with severe allergies. Please read the information on our Special Diet Information Form.
Any special needs should be communicated with Mission Springs at least two weeks prior to arrival. You must fill out a Special Diet Information Form along with any supporting documents and return them to Mission Springs as part of this process.
If we are unable to accommodate a child’s needs, we may request that parents supply all or part of the food for their child’s stay at Mission Springs.
The school must also provide an adult representative for the child, who understands the student’s special dietary needs. This person will help facilitate meals with the kitchen during the week. On arrival day, any foodstuffs that need to be prepared should be brought to the kitchen. The adult representative will be in charge of requesting alternative food at meal times. Parents can contact our Special Diet Coordinator at [email protected] or (831) 335-9133.
